Day 163

Day 163
Thur. Mar. 6, 2014

I slept in and woke up in the afternoon totally missing out on my laundry day. My plan is to either do it Friday night or Saturday morning before it starts to pile up. Like I said before, I've been kind of hibernating which one of my online friends coined the term "cabin fever" meaning I don't want to leave the cabin due to the weather outside.

Anyways, INTST101 was another interesting class with the professor mildly using profanity to humour use on some specific points he had personally encountered in his life with regards to free trade and grocery markets.
Later, me and my classmates went to Williams Cafe and grabbed a hot drink before heading off our ways for the day. I'm kind of not looking forward to Stratford because I find it very tiring to wake up early to attend classes that are not interesting or engaging.

Day 162

Day 162
Wed. Mar. 5, 2014

ARTS111 today and we looked at our personal mission statements for life. I sort have expected that my career was swaying towards the entertainment industry. My statement was "To enrich people's lives by entertainment and inspiration through the use of drama and media." Seeing how much films, novels, and short films I have produced in the last five years, I can see how it reflects me.

The big question I ask myself in reflection is to decide if I should really pursue a career in the filming industry? Since enjoy directing, filming, acting, and scripting, I feel that this new career direction would better suit my needs.

Later the night, I Skyped with my girlfriend to talk about my plans to visit her after I leave Waterloo. That was something I look forward to.

Day 161

Day 161
Tues. Mar. 4, 2014

Even though I kind of slept pretty late, I still had to wake up early for my GBDA102 group meeting. We finalized sections on the business plan for Australia and then went off to do our parts. I really really want to visit the land down under...one day Australia...one day I shall set foot.

Later the evening, me and my roommate decided to go to Mel's Diner because we apparently encountered a very good looking blonde waitress and that he wanted to see her again. Despite me being in a relationship, there is no harm in looking and helping him out as a wingman. When we went to Mel's, she was working and served for us. There was group of students to the table next to us and taking on the Godfather challenge which was a 3 pound burger patty with fries and salad that must be finished by one person in a time frame of one hour. My mate ordered a medium rare steak and got a rare steak instead, but he enjoyed it. Despite me ordering fish and chips, I got a massive plate where I expected to be some medium size plate, but I got two massive fish fillets on my plate. I eventually had to take it home to finish it off later. Note to self, Mel's Diner always have extra large plates of foods. Be prepared for the massive food load.

Day 160

Day 160
Mon. Mar. 3, 2014

Alright, I'll be honest on this post simply because I want to. I've kind of turned into a bear mainly because I like to hibernate and sleep in my residence for a large duration of time. Not proud of it, but the weather outside is not helping.

ARTS111 today was a typical class and nothing really to talk about. There is one mid-term exam next week based on what we learnt and the assessments we took. I figured that it won't be that bad compared to ECON101. No stress acquired so it was good.

Today was the inevitable day at poker night mainly because my friends were asking me about future housing rentals. When I told them about my plans to leave the university, they were saddened by the news and they were saying that they would give me time to reconsider if I changed my mind. Meanwhile, one of my mates had ordered the 25 inch pizza loaded with lots of meat from Campus Pizza and had treated us all to full stomachs. It was a good day today in my books.

Day 159

Day 159
Sun. Mar. 2, 2014

Today was a day spent doing literally nothing except playing computer games on a new zombie game that I discovered on Facebook. It's a beta version, but it's pretty decent in terms of variation in the game.

Nothing else to report for today except I'm wondering how I should tell my friend the news on poker night tomorrow...

Day 158

Day 158
Sat. Mar. 1, 2014

It's March already and school is almost done. I'm officially set with no longer doing year two here because of the high cost of the program, lack of potential career, and lack of interest. Some days I just feel like there is really no point in writing this anymore because I'm so unmotivated.

Today was my turn in ResCouncil to host the Winter Olympics part one. It was a big success in terms of turnout, fun, and a variety of events. I made some new friends as a result of the gathering and was well organized from my point of view.

Later me and my roommate hung out to eat at East Side Mario's where I told him the news about my plans to leave. He was kind of disappointed, but it was my life decision.

VC Chapter 15-New Contracts

Sector 1400
Planet 1411
January 22, 2052

Commander Yale looked in the mirror as he splashed cold water to his face. His failure in capturing Preez had resulted in him being assigned to lighter roles for the corporation. Now he had to accompany an OmniPotent corporation businessman to Tachyon Industries to see if the VEGA's researches can be installed into their battleships.
“Commander, we have arrived.” an officer with the rankings of Lieutenant knocked on his bathroom door.
“Good Lieutenant. I'll be there shortly.” Yale combed his hair in an organized manner.
Meanwhile at the ship dock at Tachyon Industries, a Genesis cruiser docked in the facility and shut off its engines. A squad of armoured soldiers stepped out escorting a big Caucasian man dressed in a formal attire carrying a black briefcase locked to his wrist.
“Follow me Mr. De Waal.” the leader soldier prompted the businessman as he walked to an access panel.
“Is there a need for so much security?” De Waal placed his sunglasses onto his dark brown hair as he eyed the combat turrets around the facility.
“It's a protection of VEGA assets.” Yale responded from behind as he was accompanied by three of his officers.
“What's so valuable that it needs to be protected?” De Waal walked with Yale as they reached the testing room inside the facility.
“This is why you are here and the business we would like to do with you.” Yale waved the guards to lock the entrance as a glass room lit up beside them.
“This is the thermal beam weapon...a prototype in the making.” Yale pointed at a sleek looking weapon mounted in the centre of the room.
“What does it do?” De Waal looked amused.
“Watch.” Yale ordered one of the lab technicians to operate the gun.
The back pane of glass opened up to reveal a thick orangish armour that appeared to be of iridium composite. The gun turned and began to charge up with a muffled hum as it targeted the piece of armour. Then, a stream of intense bright light beamed onto the armour and pierced a hole through it in a matter of seconds.
“Amazing!” De Waal clapped.
“Imagine four of these loaded onto your company's Rancor production line.” Yale smiled at the pleased businessman.
“Let's get to business then.” De Waal sat down on the table and unlocked his briefcase.
Before any deal was drafted, a loud blaring alarmed sounded across the facility.
“Warning, perimeter intrusion detected!” the alarmed announced.
“What is this?” De Waal quickly shut his briefcase and locked it as his security team formed a circle around him.
“We'll take care of it.” Yale looked at one of his officer and nodded.
“Sir, follow me!” the officer waved at De Waal to follow him down a set of stairs.

As De Waal and his team went downstairs, Yale looked at the security cameras on his datapad to locate the intrusion alarm. A fleet of Exodus cruisers was headed towards the facility in a very fast speed with the words “NB Gaven” painted on its port side.
