Day 188

Day 188
Mon. Mar. 31, 2014

Last day of March and school would be almost over! Despite completing my film, the reality of my relationship is starting to affect me. I always feel like my life is like a romance movie that someone else is watching from a distance.

ARTS111 was a fair class. We looked at the final paper that was take-home and did some feedback for the class for the instructor. I wrote my thanks on the paper and jotted down that this class has instrumental to me discovering my passion in film and that I was going to pursue an education in it.

Later the evening, I met up with my ECON101 group to discuss about our presentation of economics. Due to a shortage of people, we postponed it to tomorrow.

Well my paper for ARTS111 was done and I knew that I wasn't going to get the best mark because I didn't have an interview. Rather than making up a fake interview and getting false marks, I wrote a page about why I couldn't find someone and why it was hard to get someone in the network.

Day 187

Day 187
Sun. Mar. 30, 2014

Today I got my two volunteer actors for the zombie roles in my film. We took different shoots around the residence buildings to capture a sense of apartments. It was fun and I figured that I would be finishing the final post-production later tonight once I have completed my ARTS111 papers.

Today, my girlfriend barely texted me for the entire day. Something was not right...later it turns out that she wanted to stay friends for now until she sorts out her personal issues. It kind of sucks that this had to occur after seven months into the relationship. Not sure if I was more distressed or mad about it, but I left it aside so I can get some homework done.

Upon completion of Last Man Standing, I pre-released it to my parents for feedback. They said that some scenes could be brighter and the other ambient noises emphasized such as the gun shot. Took another half hour in reworking the film and here is the release:

Day 186

Day 186
Sat. Mar. 29, 2014

I woke up in the afternoon from a long tiring night. I looked at my research paper for ARTS111 and became disinterested in doing it. After half an hour of doing something fun, I decided it was time to work on my paper. Despite lacking an interview component for the paper, I managed to justify why I was hard a professional director for interviewing.

The day went by quickly that I didn't have time to get my volunteer actors together for Last Man Standing. I will look at it tomorrow for the final shoots of the short zombie film.

Pretty much the day was spent on writing that research paper...no fun. Well, I kind of used up my fun portion last night.

Day 185

Day 185
Fri. Mar. 28, 2014

Ok, it's the second last week for Stratford. I guess I'm kind of happy? Who cares...I got a party at my place later tonight.

GBDA102 was perhaps the driest class ever due to lack of country presentations. Even our group exercise was a bit boring because it was talking about HR and hiring.

ECON101 was pretty much the usual long dry lectures with graphs making no meaning. I know I will fail the final exam for sure, but I could care less especially with a new plan in mind. I'm looking at going into film and motion pictures and plan to start fresh there.

Party time! Lots of people came to my party and some of which were ones that came during St. Patrick's day. The two highlights was when one of the girl's boyfriend got drunk which I ended up giving up my steak in the fridge and cooked it with my roommate for him to sober up. Another one was one of my friend who was totally gone...he was hilarious in his speech and actions. After the party was over, my roommate and I escorted the party to the campus where they headed for their bus stops or residences. What a nice guy eh? After the escort, we went to Burger King and grabbed a light meal before we headed back to our house.

I got on my computer and received a message from the Aussie saying that she was able to chat for the full day on April 12 Australia time. Boy, I'm looking forward to that. As for my girlfriend, she was aware that I was partying and we texted for a little bit.

Day 184

Day 184
Thur. Mar. 27, 2014

Judging by this snowy weather in spring...I am almost getting used to it. In fact, I feel like I should capitalize this snowy environment into my short zombie film. Later, I did some solo filming and acting to take the necessary shots while my roommate was away.

INTST101 class we looked at global public health and how the world has eradicated small pox off the face of this planet. Makes me wonder if we are the new virus to planet Earth... Anyways, it was a very interesting class as always and I know that tomorrow is going to be fun partying at my house.
On the other hand...Stratford...not so much.

Day 183

Day 183
Wed. Mar. 26, 2014

I can't believe it's still snowing here at Waterloo! I mean, it's spring already and I'm still seeing snow here. Anyways, I headed for campus a little bit earlier than usual and headed for the career center where I checked out a shelf resource needed for my ARTS111 paper.

Ok, ARTS111 class was a typical class today with the lecture about EQ and IQ. I know pretty well that I am not the smartest guy out there, but I do know that I have a better EQ than my IQ. Funny how that works when I'm in Waterloo eh?

Anyways, the remainder of the night was spent filming the final end scenes of the Last Man Standing short film. It's looking good so far.

Day 182

Day 182
Tue. Mar. 25, 2014

Man...getting up and out of bed was painful. Lots of strenuous exercises last night from climbing walls and doing stunt work on the upcoming Last Man Standing zombie film. I'm going to post my great fall because it was kind of funny.

GBDA102 meeting was kind of long. We finalized our report and looked at skit work for our presentation. There's going to be another meeting for Thursday. After the meeting was over, I talked to one of my friends to ask for permission to use his original music works to use for my zombie movie.

Later the evening, me and my roommate took more footage of the film and slowly turned a supposed trailer into a short film. This is going to be equivalent to my other short film works that I've done last year.

Here's my fall from Last Man Standing:

Monday, March 24, 2014

Day 181

Day 181
Mon. Mar. 24, 2014

I kind of woke up early today not because of loud construction noises beside my place and not because of my roommates. I woke up because I wanted to get the scenes finished for the horror movie trailer. Being alone in the house and impatient for my roommate to come home and act as a body, I improvised with the materials I had and assembled a fake corpse on the ground to film. After a few hours of post-production, I had finished the trailer.

I nearly forgot about an ARTS111 assessment that I needed to complete for class. Luckily, I still had time and finished it. I think I'm kind of screwed for the upcoming occupational research paper since I couldn't find any person in field I'm looking for.

GBDA102 meeting tomorrow is going to be a long day finalizing materials. I just feel there is a lack of free time.
Anyways, after the horror trailer The Roommate was uploaded in less than 24 hours of start, I was thirsty for another film. After debating about romance, action, or adventure, another zombie film was put to production. One scene was me scaling a concrete wall while being strapped to a 10kg tactical vest...I jumped and had a fall that was moderately painful. Well, what can I say? I'm passionate about me in acting and films. Actually...more of low budget.

Here's The Roommate:

Day 180

Day 180
Sun. Mar. 23, 2014

It's my seven month anniversay for our relationship. I may seem like a guy who forgets things, but never meaningful dates. Anyways, I woke up to amazing feedback of my movie trailer that I did last night and I was craving for more. So, I sat down with my roommate to discuss about what types of genre I could film provided on low budget and minimal actors. It was quickly decided that I take on another trailer of my idea of a horror sociopathic roommate. Based off my roommate who always makes loud noises and have irregular activities in the house, it inspired me to do a short film idea about a psychotic roommate. We filmed a bit of the late night scenes and decided that it would be best to film some day scenes tomorrow.

So, the remainder of the night was spent Skyping my girlfriend and talking the night away and doing late night laundry for this week. I also did a recording of me singing A-Team Ed Sheeran for my girlfriend. I figured that since I was doing films, I would do a song for her. Did I do anything productive? School-wise? No, but future-wise? Yes, I'm slowly building my film portfolio through these shoots at Waterloo.

Here's the song I sang and made for my girlfriend:

Day 179

Day 179
Sat. Mar. 22, 2014

I woke up around noon due to the long talk last night. I checked to see how my roommate was doing and he was moderately okay. I decided to take him out to Village 1 cafeteria to eat where I would also meet up with one of my friends from my program to talk about his music works.

Upon arriving to V1, I treated my roommate to lunch and then had a brief conversation with my friend. The slightest idea occured to me when I thought about using his past works for my future films.

In the evening, I got bored and I felt the urge to tackle on a short movie trailer project. I drew a quick storyboard and taught my roommate how to act on film for the first time. Then we went to campus to film some office scenes. After a lot of takes, the footage was finally complete and it was up to me to do the final editting and production. I managed to find a good soundtrack from my friend's work and incorporated into the trailer. One day shoot and here is what it looks like:

Day 178

Day 178
Fri. Mar. 21, 2014

So why is it that I dislike or hate Stratford Fridays? I don't know. Perhaps it is no longer fun and interesting to arrive there. Perhaps I need to wake up really early. Or perhaps I'm just completely done with university. I don't know…

GBDA102 was really a typical class as usual. Country presentations and talks about business which seemed to be so dry…

ECON101 was...the same old structure. Long dry lectures followed by crazy graphs that made no sense to the audience to keep our interest. I think I know why I don't like Stratford Fridays...I hate repetition. No new or fresh events in a day made life seem dull and boring.

Later the night, me and my roommate went to Mel's Diner to get that phone number on that check. Long story short, things ended up disastrously. She said she didn't want to date and that her schedule was busy and thus rejecting my roommate.

For the next purposes of confidentiality. My roommate was upset and inflicted self-harm to himself which resulted in lots of blood. When I felt it was out of control, I had to contact my don for aid. Two duty dons were dispatched to aid him and it was a long time. I remembered this from an old lesson in highschool about having an angry friend is better than having a dead friend. I think I did the right thing....

Thursday, March 20, 2014

Day 177

Day 177
Thur. Mar. 20, 2014

Well...I had to get up early to do my GBDA102 meeting. We kind of fooled around a bit with our Google documents and then went to work on our Australia business report. Later, I went with one of my friend and asked him about school and careers. We went to Tim Hortons for a light snack and then headed to Village 1 cafeteria. Guess what? I won a free coffee/latte from the Roll Up The Rim To Win promo. First cup and first win...not bad for 1/10 odds stated on the cup.

INTST101 was another fun-filled engaging talking about armed conflict and how wars are usually created. It was stated that it was built in the human mind to destroy things. An example was that there will be a child who creates a sand castle and a child who wants to demolish the piece of art. I'm the creator...not the destroyer.

Stratford tomorrow...don't even get me started.

Wednesday, March 19, 2014

Day 176

Day 176
Wed. Mar. 19, 2014

ARTS111 was a normal usual class. What's really bothering me is the interview that I would need to do for my research...how am I going to find a professional in the field that I'm interested in? It's almost impossible!
Today was the Superheroes Leadership Award Ceremony in which I had been nominated. I got fully dressed in formal wear and went with my don to attend the ceremony. During the walk to the campus, I was told that I did not show up for ResCouncil. I admit, I totally forgot about it...no excuse there. Anyways, the dinner was good and the dessert was great. There were around six to seven awards which people received. What really bugs me is that there were a total of one hundred nominees... Why? I rather not know that I can win than know that I will lose. It's really kind of upsetting for me knowing that I'll never be as good as those people and that I'm not worthy enough.

As the day came to an end, I knew that talking to my girlfriend would always cheer me up. In her eyes, I was had won and that was all that mattered to me. At least someone gives me appreciation and worth. For that, I'm thankful.

Day 175

Day 175
Tue. Mar. 18, 2014

After a rowdy fun night, I knew I had to get up early for our scheduled GBDA102 meeting. It later turns out that we are postponing it Thursday since a large majority of the group didn't complete anything.

Later the evening, I managed to talk my roommate into asking out the girl at Mel's Diner. I told him that it's better to get a yes or no than to regret finding out the answer in the future. As he walked out of the house late at night, I quickly went to my room and dressed up in full dark clothing and trailed behind him with my hood on. So clandestine eh? Anyways, I watched from across the street hoping to see some action, but I couldn't tell. As he walked out of the diner, I quickly made my way back home and changed back to normal clothing and pretended to talk to him asking about the progress. He said that the girl said that she was working on Friday and that she could right her number on the back of the check. What a success!

Day 174

Day 174
Mon. Mar. 17, 2014

Happy St. Patrick's Day! Today me and my roommate practically cleaned the house from top to bottom starting with washrooms all the way to living rooms. We reorganized the house for maximized efficiency of space and prepared out drinks in the fridge.

I went to ARTS111 class feeling pumped up for the party to follow at my house. There was nothing really special to talk about so I'll skip to the party.

Despite the party starting early, everyone came one hour later. We started off with a big poker game and then moved on to beer pong, blackjack, and then King's cup. Overall, a lot of guys and girls came out today to the party which was great. I admit it was a bit tipsy, but I wasn't drunk. The rest of the folks said I was drunk because of my actions, which I felt were still clearly rational and alert. Overall, everyone didn't party too hard and we all had fun.

Gosh, there is a meeting tomorrow for GBDA102 tomorrow noon. I hope I won't be tired or hungover...

Sunday, March 16, 2014

Day 173

Day 173
Sun. Mar. 16, 2014

Today was the day I knew I had to do my laundry simply because I've used up all my slack days. Despite being early, I waited in the laundry room with my roommate while he waited for vacancy.

For lunch, we went to Grab A Greek and I ordered a combo and felt it was a really good meal and value of money. During lunch, I was watching the Paralympics closing ceremony in Sochi and I still think that with Russia have over 30 plus medals in the game...felt like they cheated.

Later the night, me and my roommate prepared our house a bit for tomorrow St. Patrick's Day party. I'm really looking forwad to how it goes tomorrow!

Saturday, March 15, 2014

Day 172

Day 172
Sat. Mar. 15, 2014

Man oh man, I woke up during noon and realized that I was still stuffed from the massive burger I had yesterday. I only made myself a hot milk tea and then decided that me and my roommate should head to the LCBO for massive amounts of beer and Irish related materials for our upcoming St. Paddy's Day party in joint with our poker night. We sent out a lot of invites to friends and we're hoping to turn it into a party.

Later for my brunch later with my roommate, we went to Curry in a Hurry. We went there and decided to order the butter chicken platter and I must say it was amazing. After a discussion, we felt that this place had a good value for meal and a good service.

Next was Karaoke night which was the second time it took place in our residence district. After a few warm-ups by singing trios and duos, I was able to tackle on solos. Feeling a lack of music choice, one of my friends hooked up his laptop to the machine and I was able to sing solo songs of my choice. I basically chose songs that I've sang for my girlfriend and was secretly recorded by my roommate when I took the stage. Surprisingly, I was good because the audience paid attention to my singing. I knew in the back of mind that my girlfriend would be proud.

Day 171

Day 171
Fri. Mar. 14, 2014

Why are Stratford days so painful? Painful to wake up that is and then endure an 8 hour session at Stratford. As always, the bus to Stratford allowed me to get at least 45 minutes of power nap to give me that extra bit of energy.

GBDA102 class was particularly amazing due to the fact that there were two presentations of countries except the last presentation included free food and an original how-to video about learning the country's culture. Being a enthusiast in film making, I really enjoyed how the film turned out by the group. I would say it was neatly and expertly done.

Should I even begin with ECON101? I nearly feel asleep in class due to the dryness of the lecture despite me holding a pen and a piece of paper for notes. I had to get on Facebook and play online poker for me to stay awake and jot down notes. This class was horrible.

When I went back home, me and my roommate decided to go to Mel's Diner to take on the Easy Rider burger. With two pounds burger patty with roughly a pound vegetables and garlic bread covers plus a soup on the side, I was able to finish this combo in less than 30 minutes while my mate gave up halfway. It was probably the most that I had eaten in a while considering that massive burger shaped like a 12in Subway sandwich.

I was lucky enough to catch a quick chat with my Aussie girl friend who stated that her school had been hell. We chatted for a little bit before I decided that it was time for me to sleep.

Tomorrow is the last of the Winter Olympics for ResCouncil. Karaoke night plus free food seems to always work well.

VC Chapter 16-Dragon's Lair

Sector 1400
Planet 1411
January 22, 2052

“Full speed ahead!” Stein barked his order as the Tachyon Industries came into view.
Keeping his eyes on the combat turrets, Stein had ordered his fleet of Exodus cruisers into a line formation to absorb all the incoming fire for the fleets following behind him. Behind the row of Exodus cruisers was another line of Rancor battleships with the markings of “NB Remali” loaded with medium weapons.
“Full shield strength to the front.” Stein inputted some data in his command chair.
Meanwhile in the command centre of the the Tachyon facility, Yale had already contacted his hidden reinforcements hidden below on the planet.
“Fire those new puppies.” Yale pointed at a few incomplete combat turrets equipped with the thermal beam.
“Sir, they are not finished.” the station defence officer replied uneasily.
“Get out of here. If you don't turn it on, we'll be finished.” Yale shoved the officer off his seat as he took control.
As the line of Exodus cruisers approached closer to the facility, the plasma chargers had already begun firing its explosive rounds into space. A few rounds hit the hull of the cruisers and were easily absorbed by its shock shields. Suddenly, four armour-less turrets that appeared to be deactivated lit up and turned its weapons to aim. A slight hum was heard as four streams of hard light hit the ship farthest to the right and nearly demolished the ship into oblivion.
“Break away formation and concentrate fire on those laser turrets.” Stein watched as two ships from his fleet got destroyed by the thermal beam turrets.
“Sir, we're losing shields!” the shielding officer announced as one Tachyon beam turret fired on Stein's ship slowly draining its shields.
“NB Remali, you are up. Our escort objective is done.” Stein broadcasted to the Rancor battleships as his ships turned to retreat.
The row of Rancors split into groups of threes and parted opposite ways as it began to circle around the base. The battleships fired a barrage of hex missiles mixed with gauss drivers towards the Tachyon beam turrets. Small explosions easily ripped the basic metal plating off and shorted the turrets resulting in an explosion from the power source. The collateral damage of the turret spread to nearby turrets and started a chain reaction of fireworks. One by one, the Tachyon beam turrets were taken out quickly by wave of missiles and projectiles from the Rancors. Only three thermal ray turrets remained with a plasma charger loaded on the command bridge.
“Haha, yes!” Stein cheered at a distance as the Rancors began to snipe the thermal ray turrets from a distance.

Just when the fight seemed to favour NB's side, a fleet of three Apocrypha cruisers loaded with thermal beams speed into the battle from the nearby planet. The tides have turned...

Day 170

Day 170
Thur. Mar. 13, 2014

Today started off with our GBDA102 group meet where we discussed about our business plan for Australia and started off on our presentation skit about two Australians and two Canadian with a narrator. I got to take on the part as being an Aussie which was really exciting.

Anyways, later the evening I went to INTST101 and watched a documentary about women's rights in Iran and how their society so is male-dominated. After the film, it feels great to know that I live in Canada where social injustice does not happen.

Before I decided to sleep, I wanted to go check on my online games, but the internet was done for quite some time. So, I opened up my story that I've been writing about a space adventure and continued on with some action plot. Later, it turns out that a lot of people were waiting for my next chapter despite me thinking that the demand had went down.

Stratford tomorrow...oh boy, it's going to be a long day.

Wednesday, March 12, 2014

Day 169

Day 169
Wed. Mar. 12, 2014

Well it's officially snowing again...the flipside is that the muddy roads are now covered with snow and cleaner to walk.

I went to ARTS111 class and helped one of my classmates take notes since she wasn't able to drive through the rough snowy roads. I hear about the research paper that I needed to do and was annoyed how I needed to find a person working in the field of study and interview them.

When I came back home, my roommate was just about leave to head for the local pub. I decided to join him and get a pitcher of beer to split. Later we went to William's Cafe and each grabbed a Caesar salad with chicken and ordered a meaty pizza from Campus Pizza to head home and eat some more.

It was a jolly good day minus my sickness. Good beer, good food, and good snowy weather...

Day 168

Day 168
Tue. Mar. 11, 2014

What do you know? I'm sick just like I could imagine. Sore throat and minor headache was not going well especially when I have a GBDA102 meeting to go to. I excused myself from the meeting and the group postponed it to Thursday since a large portion haven't completed their parts.

My roommate wanted to go to Mel's Diner to ask the blonde waitress out. Apparently she was a second year Arts student taking English. No offence to any good looking girls out in Waterloo, but we all thought that the good looking girls are found in the wild outskirts of Laurier University. Anyways, we went there to eat dinner and sadly she was not there at work. Both of us ordered the Rodeo Burger and it was massive as expected. I easily finished it while my roommate had some difficulties.

After the dinner, I went to ResCouncil to listen to the next events and to discuss about any changes to current plans. More or less, today was a jammed pack day. I really hope I get well because I hate being sick.

Monday, March 10, 2014

Day 167

Day 167
Mon. Mar. 10, 2014

I woke up today looking forward to my ARTS111 mid-term exam mainly because I wasn't stressed about it at all. Given the full class time, I was able to finish the short answers and multiple choice within 45 minutes. I felt more confident in it than INTST101 or GBDA102 because it I understood the concepts and that mostly the short answers part was reflective of me as an individual.

Tonight was poker night and my mates had put in real stakes this time. Feeling confident in my pairs of Aces in the flop, I go all in with ten dollars. The turn gave me a two pair with Aces and Twos sealing my win when suddenly the river popped out the third Jack for my rival's hand stealing the win on pure luck. It was so flustered and annoyed by his constant Irish luck that I was speechless for the remainder of the game as I played the dealer.

After the poker night ended, my roommate and I went past Laurier around midnight to go to 7-Eleven for some snacks. It was a cold chilly walk to and from which may have resulted potential sickness.

Sunday, March 9, 2014

Day 166

Day 166
Sun. Mar. 9, 2014

Today was fairly a calm day as I enjoyed myself by watching the two Fantastic Four films. Yes, I was that bored that I decided to rewatch old Hollywood videos.

Feeling up the pizza appetite, I ordered again from TwicetheDeal and had my toppings chosen from my girlfriend. I was looking for fresh new ideas for my pizza and she had come up with some really nice ones that I was able to enjoy. One of the thing was that I ordered two mediums and the box said 10 inches. Did they give me a small? I have absolutely no clue, but I felt too happy to even care because the toppings my girlfriend gave was amazing. One would be surprised how vegetables can turn pizza good despite my hunger for an all meat pizza.

Saturday, March 8, 2014

Day 165

Day 165
Sat. Mar. 8, 2014

Today was the next round of Winter Olympics for ResCouncil. Instead of Iron Chef Cupcakes, the organizer or host had bailed his duties due to job interview leaving the treasurer changing the event to cookie decorating. It was not as fun as expected, but I ended off with sugar highs.

Nothing seems to be of interest to me other than the fact that I managed to do my laundry early in the morning and that all chores are cleaned up. Speaking of chores, I called out my lower level roommate on his residence contract infractions when he doesn't do all the chores, violate quiet hours, and bring overnight guests that still violate the quiet hours. Let's just say things didn't end off well after I countered a statement of him stating that I was the boss of the house. I just said it's common courtesy and respect to other roommates that we are here for school and not for vacation. Ever since, awkwardness levels have been on the rise.

Friday, March 7, 2014

Day 164

Day 164
Fri. Mar. 7, 2014

What a short sleep for me! I really wanted to stay in my house and just sleep in my warm bed. The walk to campus for the ride was really chilly and I did not enjoy it one bit.

GBDA102 mid-terms were handed back and surprisingly I did better than class average, but still lower than GBDA course requirements. I can't really argue that it was the marking, but rather the stress acquired during self-reflection time and mid-terms. Oh well, I did what I could for this exam and I'm happy with it.

ECON101 was another dry class again for the tenth time? I've lost track and in fact, I could really care less about this class. So uninteresting, uninformative, and disengaging for me because the instructor's diagrams on the camera projector were generic and did not relate to any real life examples in the market world.

In summary, I think that my views on economics have really been ruined by a bad experience. If I encountered my professor teaching INTST101 as my ECON101 instructor, I would do substantially well compared to my current class.

Thursday, March 6, 2014

Day 163

Day 163
Thur. Mar. 6, 2014

I slept in and woke up in the afternoon totally missing out on my laundry day. My plan is to either do it Friday night or Saturday morning before it starts to pile up. Like I said before, I've been kind of hibernating which one of my online friends coined the term "cabin fever" meaning I don't want to leave the cabin due to the weather outside.

Anyways, INTST101 was another interesting class with the professor mildly using profanity to humour use on some specific points he had personally encountered in his life with regards to free trade and grocery markets.
Later, me and my classmates went to Williams Cafe and grabbed a hot drink before heading off our ways for the day. I'm kind of not looking forward to Stratford because I find it very tiring to wake up early to attend classes that are not interesting or engaging.

Wednesday, March 5, 2014

Day 162

Day 162
Wed. Mar. 5, 2014

ARTS111 today and we looked at our personal mission statements for life. I sort have expected that my career was swaying towards the entertainment industry. My statement was "To enrich people's lives by entertainment and inspiration through the use of drama and media." Seeing how much films, novels, and short films I have produced in the last five years, I can see how it reflects me.

The big question I ask myself in reflection is to decide if I should really pursue a career in the filming industry? Since enjoy directing, filming, acting, and scripting, I feel that this new career direction would better suit my needs.

Later the night, I Skyped with my girlfriend to talk about my plans to visit her after I leave Waterloo. That was something I look forward to.

Tuesday, March 4, 2014

Day 161

Day 161
Tues. Mar. 4, 2014

Even though I kind of slept pretty late, I still had to wake up early for my GBDA102 group meeting. We finalized sections on the business plan for Australia and then went off to do our parts. I really really want to visit the land down under...one day Australia...one day I shall set foot.

Later the evening, me and my roommate decided to go to Mel's Diner because we apparently encountered a very good looking blonde waitress and that he wanted to see her again. Despite me being in a relationship, there is no harm in looking and helping him out as a wingman. When we went to Mel's, she was working and served for us. There was group of students to the table next to us and taking on the Godfather challenge which was a 3 pound burger patty with fries and salad that must be finished by one person in a time frame of one hour. My mate ordered a medium rare steak and got a rare steak instead, but he enjoyed it. Despite me ordering fish and chips, I got a massive plate where I expected to be some medium size plate, but I got two massive fish fillets on my plate. I eventually had to take it home to finish it off later. Note to self, Mel's Diner always have extra large plates of foods. Be prepared for the massive food load.

Day 160

Day 160
Mon. Mar. 3, 2014

Alright, I'll be honest on this post simply because I want to. I've kind of turned into a bear mainly because I like to hibernate and sleep in my residence for a large duration of time. Not proud of it, but the weather outside is not helping.

ARTS111 today was a typical class and nothing really to talk about. There is one mid-term exam next week based on what we learnt and the assessments we took. I figured that it won't be that bad compared to ECON101. No stress acquired so it was good.

Today was the inevitable day at poker night mainly because my friends were asking me about future housing rentals. When I told them about my plans to leave the university, they were saddened by the news and they were saying that they would give me time to reconsider if I changed my mind. Meanwhile, one of my mates had ordered the 25 inch pizza loaded with lots of meat from Campus Pizza and had treated us all to full stomachs. It was a good day today in my books.

Day 159

Day 159
Sun. Mar. 2, 2014

Today was a day spent doing literally nothing except playing computer games on a new zombie game that I discovered on Facebook. It's a beta version, but it's pretty decent in terms of variation in the game.

Nothing else to report for today except I'm wondering how I should tell my friend the news on poker night tomorrow...

Day 158

Day 158
Sat. Mar. 1, 2014

It's March already and school is almost done. I'm officially set with no longer doing year two here because of the high cost of the program, lack of potential career, and lack of interest. Some days I just feel like there is really no point in writing this anymore because I'm so unmotivated.

Today was my turn in ResCouncil to host the Winter Olympics part one. It was a big success in terms of turnout, fun, and a variety of events. I made some new friends as a result of the gathering and was well organized from my point of view.

Later me and my roommate hung out to eat at East Side Mario's where I told him the news about my plans to leave. He was kind of disappointed, but it was my life decision.

VC Chapter 15-New Contracts

Sector 1400
Planet 1411
January 22, 2052

Commander Yale looked in the mirror as he splashed cold water to his face. His failure in capturing Preez had resulted in him being assigned to lighter roles for the corporation. Now he had to accompany an OmniPotent corporation businessman to Tachyon Industries to see if the VEGA's researches can be installed into their battleships.
“Commander, we have arrived.” an officer with the rankings of Lieutenant knocked on his bathroom door.
“Good Lieutenant. I'll be there shortly.” Yale combed his hair in an organized manner.
Meanwhile at the ship dock at Tachyon Industries, a Genesis cruiser docked in the facility and shut off its engines. A squad of armoured soldiers stepped out escorting a big Caucasian man dressed in a formal attire carrying a black briefcase locked to his wrist.
“Follow me Mr. De Waal.” the leader soldier prompted the businessman as he walked to an access panel.
“Is there a need for so much security?” De Waal placed his sunglasses onto his dark brown hair as he eyed the combat turrets around the facility.
“It's a protection of VEGA assets.” Yale responded from behind as he was accompanied by three of his officers.
“What's so valuable that it needs to be protected?” De Waal walked with Yale as they reached the testing room inside the facility.
“This is why you are here and the business we would like to do with you.” Yale waved the guards to lock the entrance as a glass room lit up beside them.
“This is the thermal beam weapon...a prototype in the making.” Yale pointed at a sleek looking weapon mounted in the centre of the room.
“What does it do?” De Waal looked amused.
“Watch.” Yale ordered one of the lab technicians to operate the gun.
The back pane of glass opened up to reveal a thick orangish armour that appeared to be of iridium composite. The gun turned and began to charge up with a muffled hum as it targeted the piece of armour. Then, a stream of intense bright light beamed onto the armour and pierced a hole through it in a matter of seconds.
“Amazing!” De Waal clapped.
“Imagine four of these loaded onto your company's Rancor production line.” Yale smiled at the pleased businessman.
“Let's get to business then.” De Waal sat down on the table and unlocked his briefcase.
Before any deal was drafted, a loud blaring alarmed sounded across the facility.
“Warning, perimeter intrusion detected!” the alarmed announced.
“What is this?” De Waal quickly shut his briefcase and locked it as his security team formed a circle around him.
“We'll take care of it.” Yale looked at one of his officer and nodded.
“Sir, follow me!” the officer waved at De Waal to follow him down a set of stairs.

As De Waal and his team went downstairs, Yale looked at the security cameras on his datapad to locate the intrusion alarm. A fleet of Exodus cruisers was headed towards the facility in a very fast speed with the words “NB Gaven” painted on its port side.
